I'm happy to announce Google Code Jam Africa.

What is Google Code Jam?

          Google Code Jam is a coding competition in which professional and student programmers are asked to solve complex algorithmic challenges in a limited amount of time. The contest is all-inclusive: Google Code Jam lets you program in the coding language and development environment of your choice.

This year for the first time, Google has decided to make a special round of Google Code Jam for Africa only.

When is it?
Qualification Round: From 2pm on Monday 15 March till 2am Wednesday 16 March
Online Competition: From 7pm on Monday 22 March till 10pm on Monday 22 March

What are the prizes?
Each of the top five scorers in the Online Competition will receive a Google bag containing each of the following:

Digital video camera with 60 minute capacity

2GB flash USB memory stick

USB Memory pen with laser pointer

Bedlam puzzle cube

Rubik's cube

Wireless mouse

SIGG metal bottle

Mini Google soccer ball

Google notepad

Google pens (4)

2 Google hackey sacks

Also, outstanding performance in Code Jam Africa 2010 may be considered if you apply for an internship at our European Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.
